Today is my last day as the director of the Lanesboro Public Library. Before I leave, I would just like to thank the community for all the support you have provided for me and for the library over the past three years. It is truly the residents of Lanesboro that make our library great. I hope everyone is able to stop down in the next few days and welcome the new director, Tara.
Adios!

Kill-A-Watt meters from P3 International are now available to check out at the library.
The cost of electricity can really hit you where it hurts. Now with Kill-A-Watt you can reduce energy costs and identify the real energy abusers. Simply plug an appliance into the meter and it will assess how efficient they really are. You can figure out your electrical expense by the day, week, month, or year.

What’s up with the Friends of the Lanesboro Library? A whole lot!
The Friends have recently launched their new website at Friends of the Lanesboro Library. Check out the site for upcoming events sponsored by the Friends and information on past programs.
The FOLL have also recently introduced a year-long book sale in the lobby of the library. It’s full of great books, dvds, cds and more. Prices are low, selection is always changing, and you are helping to support your library. We are always accepting new and gently used books, too!
