December is Read A New Book Month!

index

You might not know it, but December is Read A New Book Month, and thanks to your library, reading that new book won’t cost you a dime! The library gets new books each month and they can all be checked out for free. Patrons at the Lanesboro Public Library save money every year by borrowing, rather than buying  new books.

The ‘Libraries Grow Community’ Mural at the Lanesboro Public Library is nearly finished!

DSC00137Join us for a Celebration on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, 7 p.m. at the Library. There will be refreshments – Make your own ice cream sundaes! – and a video highlighting the process, and a short program where artist Leisa Luis-Grill will talk about the project and her experience working with volunteer artists. The event is free and open to the public. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
